Our last remaining Springfield Armory Garand, this was a post war rebuild by the Army based on the HRA barrel dated September of 1954. It does have a WW2 era Springfield trigger group, a post war Op Rod and a mixture of WW2 and post war SA and HRA internals all in like new condition.
The Springfield Arms M1 Garand is completely rebuilt to factory originality by our Virginia gunsmiths. This gun appears nearly the way it did when it rolled out of the federal armory. With the exception of the wood, all parts are original GI reconditioned parts to maintain the authenticity of the rifle. The metal is painstakingly disassembled, sandblasted, treated and parkerized. The parkerization, unlike bluing, will last for the life of the rifle without discoloration. A three piece set of wood stock, the only part of this gun not original, is cut and fitted by hand after complete finishing to complete this masterpiece. Throat and bore erosion measurements will be between 1 and 3, far belowe the 6 gauge that pushes these rifles beyond military specifications. The end result is a new-condition masterpiece that will be handed down generations as not only the ultimate piece of American history but a family heirloom as well.
